For over 100 years, Presbyterian Support South Canterbury (PSSC) has been the foundation stone underpinning the provision of social services in South Canterbury. Quality focussed and client-centred at all times, PSSC is the largest provider of a broad range of social services in South Canterbury including Enliven Aged Care Services, Family Works and Refugee Settlement Services. Supporting people with quality care and Christian love. ENLIVEN positive aging services provide a full range of services from residential resthome and hospital level care to community based day activity programmes. Our Enliven Community Services provides care and social assistance in various forms to over 500 people living in the community. Family Works is a child centred and family focused social service, providing a wide range of services supporting children and families. Our services include: Family social workers, counselling, social workers in schools, Family Start service, parenting through separation, family violence programmes, parenting programmes, children's programmes, buddy mentoring programme, a Food bank and more. Family Works operates at an approx. $450,000 deficit each year so we can provide extra services that are not government funded including some of our programmes and counselling services for adults in our community.
