Rescue Me Whiskers & Paws is a small not for profit rescue organisation run by dedicated volunteers located in South Australia.
We care for and find loving forever homes for predominately injured, sick, abandoned, stray and feral animals. We also care for surrendered animals due to unfortunate situational factors.
Our rescue organisation believes it is imperative to educate the public in regards to the numerous benefits of desexing their furry family members. Desexing prevents many diseases and illnesses in animals, reduces many behavioural problems, prevents unwanted litters and research shows your furry friends are longer lived. We would like people to understand the plight of rescues trying to decrease the number of feral cats in the environment by desexing and the harm that both feral and domestic cats can cause when allowed to roam. Therefore discussions on containing cats indoors only or within outdoor cat enclosures.
All of our animals are placed into foster care in a family type environment, which allows them to be exposed to various environmental factors such as cats, dogs, children, visitors, noises etc.
All of our animals have a health assessment, they are also de-sexed, micro-chipped, receive their 1st F3 vaccination or C4 vaccination and have parasite treatment prior to going to their new homes. Once ready for adoption we look to find our fosters the most suitable home environment to be adopted into depending on their personalities and needs. All of the vetwork, medication, food, litter, flea/worm treatments, bedding, toys etc is out of our own pockets or from donations.
Please VOTE and SHARE to help us raise much needed funds to continue to help the foster babies in our care. We currently have over 40 animals in care including 4 neonatal kittens who are blind and are on medication and will require delicate surgery in the near future. If you could make a small donation that would be amazing because every dollar helps. Thank you.
