OnePlate is seeking to raise funds in collaboration with a number of restaurants across Australia to support food production programs in developing countries. Each restaurant will not only be helping to relieve hunger worldwide but, in the process, will be stimulating conversations and social awareness around the issue of food security for those who are most disadvantaged.
The purpose of this project is to address persistent undernourishment amongst the world’s most vulnerable by increasing access to and capacity for sustainable food production. Rather than providing communities with ongoing feeding programs, locals will engage with the tools and training required to develop their own self-sustainable food production. Furthermore, improved access to nutrition will improve health, education and livelihood outcomes of entire communities.
