Kind Hearts Illawarra runs an outreach programme every Thursday night in Maccabe Park, Wollongong. Our goal every Thursday is to help, aid and assist the homeless, youth on the street or anyone in need or less fortunate in the Illawarra. We do this by supplying them with a meal, snack, cold or hot beverage, food hamper pack, hygiene pack, towel, clothing, blankets or anything else that we can supply to someone in need. Our main purpose is to just be there for the many that visit us on a Thursday night and to provide them with a voice or a shoulder to lean on. To allow those who wish to speak to someone about their troubles to do so, in a caring and understanding, non judgemental environment. We also provide information of the various services that are available for those in need. We would like people to donate to us, as the majority of people that we help have mental health issues, and we all know someone in our life that suffers from this. It is so important for us to continue volunteering our time to this cause, so that we can help lift the spirits on those that have fallen on hard times, inspire them to not give up, show them that they are not alone, that someone cares. So if you care, please donate, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
