A Lack of Health Care Prompt us to Action! The brick makers of Islamic Pakistan live in extreme poverty and work under modern day slavery. The whole family starts early in the morning and works until sunset for less than $5 a day. Most of these people pay off loans that were inherited from parents and their only way out of this bonded labour is death. Children are robbed from their childhood and work alongside their parents and grandparents in order to make the quota bricks for the day. Food is scarce and there is limited or no health care for these people. Many die of curable diseases. This year a chickenpox epidemic claimed the lives of many and there were no vaccines available. Influential Missions is taking a medical team to the brick makers of Faisalabad in January 2018 to run field clinics at ten brick yards and one village.
