Herd of Hope Charity was developed in 2017 to raise awareness for organ and tissue donation awareness. Where we differ is that we are raising awareness of those in rural and regional Australia that are affected by this process. Money raised will go towards research into the needs of rural transplant recipients which will assist in future planning for initiatives to assist those affected. Donor families are often isolated in their grief and we want to improve the mental health support for these families. One way is to offer camps for children and their parents/guardians who are directly affected by organ donation. We have a cattle station in NT to provide the location. Money raised will assist in setting up and ongoing running of these camps.
In 2019 MyGivingCircle and UBank are giving $50,000 in grants to Australian not-for-profits. It's free to vote for us plus if you donate to us we get an extra vote for every $ you give, even more for regular giving. Please vote and donate to help us share in $50,000 in 2019.
